Cancer Screening Camps

Cancer Screening Camps in Hyderabad & Telangana

Singaraju Cancer Foundation conducts community cancer screening camps across Hyderabad and Telangana — checking for oral, breast and cervical cancers, the three most common and most preventable cancers in India. Every person with a suspicious finding is guided to the right doctor and followed up. Our goal is simple: find cancer early, when it is most curable.

Why screening camps matter

Most cancers we detect at camps are found in people who had no plans to visit a hospital. Fear, cost, distance and “it is probably nothing” keep early cancers hidden until they are advanced. A camp reverses the direction: instead of waiting for people to reach hospitals, screening reaches people — in their colony, school, workplace or village.

What happens at a screening camp

  1. Registration and a short awareness talk — what cancer is, why early detection saves lives
  2. Risk questionnaire — tobacco use, family history, symptoms
  3. Clinical examination — oral cavity check for all; breast and cervical screening for women, conducted by trained medical staff with full privacy
  4. Same-day guidance — anyone with a suspicious finding receives a referral and clear next steps
  5. Follow-up — our team stays in touch with referred attendees until they complete their evaluation

Which cancers do we screen for?

  1. Oral cancer — India’s most common tobacco-related cancer; a two-minute mouth examination catches early changes
  2. Breast cancer — clinical breast examination and guidance on self-examination
  3. Cervical cancer — screening for eligible women, with referral for further testing where needed.

Who should attend?

Everyone above 30 benefits. Come especially if you use or have ever used tobacco or gutka, if you have a family history of cancer, if you have a symptom you have been ignoring, or if you have simply never been screened. Screening is for people who feel healthy — that is the whole point.
